“This project contributes to prevention and early intervention by supporting well-being before mental health needs escalate.”

Regulate to Rebuild deliverscommunity-based, trauma-informed TRE workshops for refugee families living within the Kent County Council area.

Our project teaches Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) to individuals who hold refugee status and experience increased stress and trauma symptoms linked to displacement and resettlement.

We work with small groups of up to ten participants at a time, creating a safe, supportive, person-centred and trauma-informed environment.

Why support us?

"TRE can remove the barriers to integration.

It gives people the safety required to step out of isolation and become active, engaged members of their new communities."

"Investing in TRE is an investment in community resilience.

It empowers refugees to manage their own well-being, reducing the long-term pressure on the NHS and social services and turning survivors into active members of the community."

"Your donation doesn't just buy a workshop;
it provides a toolkit that refugees carry with them into their new lives."

"By donating, you are funding a non-verbal tool.
There's no need to relive traumatic experiences, we work with the body to let go of the physical weight of the past - because The Body Keeps the Score."

"Because TRE is taught in groups, every pound donated reaches more people than almost any other form of psychological support."

"TRE supports the body turn off the alarm system that has been stuck 'on' since refugees fled their home country.
Your support helps a parent to finally sleep through the night or a child finally feel safe enough to play."

"A regulated nervous system is the foundation of self-sufficiency.
By helping refugees find physical ease, we are enabling them to contribute their skills and expertise to our society."
